About The Event
Energy has been the engine of the nations. This has led to the continuous demand for energy for transportation, industrial use, agriculture and buildings. Energy for transportation is mainly derived from oil. Electricity for various purposes is derived from varied sources like fossil fuels, nuclear power, hydro, solar or renewable energy. For sustainable energy production and use, better monitoring and control systems are required. This leads to the development of better and efficient grids. This drives energy sector for life cycle assessment of energy processes and proper selection and implementation of energy systems. Along with this, environmental challenges and storage of energy systems plays an important role. These aspects will be addressed and discussed briefly in this conference. Theconference will cover various topics around the theme like Petroleum fuels, Biofuels, Solar energy, Hydrogen storage and Biomass gasification, water purification and environmental challenges. As a mark of respect to the legend, Shri. Dhirubhai Ambani, IIChE celebrates the December 28, the birthday of Shri. Subsequently, on June 26, 2002 the college has been given the status of National Institute of Technology and on 15 August 2007, proclaimed as institute of national importance through the act of parliament. The Institute is fully funded by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. More than 12,000 students have already been graduated since its establishment.
Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers is a confluence of professionals from academia, research institutes and industry. It provides the professionals an appropriate forum for joint endeavours to work for the development of human capital and serve industries through application of chemical engineering and allied sciences. It made a modest beginning in 1947 with only 30 members under the leadership of Dr.Hira Lal Roy, the founding father of Chemical Engineering Education and Research in India. The activities of the Institute are spread across the country through its numerous Regional Centres and Student Chapters. Jaipur Regional Centre (JRC) was established in 2010. Over the last few years, JRC has grown to emerge as a leading and resourceful centre with support and patronage of different academic institutes, industrial organizations and government bodies. JRC has been a very active center and upholds the mission and vision of IIChE through technical and professional meetings, organizing seminars, conferences, technical lectures, workshops on areas relevant to the profession resulting in exchange of professional experiences on a common platform for mutual benefit.
